Cobalt RaQ4i PKGs & RPMs

The following are a few PKGs & RPMS that I have salvaged, upgraded and rebuilt that seem to work pretty well with the Cobalt RaQ4i boxes. They are mostly based on RPMs and PKGs from pkgmaster.com and rpmfind.net.

Mirrors

You can also download most of the packages and rpms below from:

MRTG

MRTG web site.

The PKG & RPM depend the PHP 4.1.2-3 package (local mirror) from PkgMaster.com .

note: Fri, 7-nov-03 01:20 updated PKG and RPM to version 2.10.5

note: Wed, 5-nov-03 12:16 updated packages and RPMS to work on RaQ4r

Once installed access via http(s)://[yourserver]:81/.cobalt/mrtg/.

Sample MRTG page

PHP 4.3.10

PHP web site.

This is an upgrade package only for the PHP 4.1.2-3 package (local mirror) from PkgMaster.com for the RaQ4 only. It is built against the same libraries used in the former PkgMaster.com package so only contains the PHP RPM. It does NOT upgrade any dependant libraries and it does NOT contain; the CLI sapi, support for IMAP, or support for Interbase databases.

Your php.ini file is not altered (except for removing Interbase support and renaming the pdf module) so if you want any of the security measures available in later releases of PHP turned on you will have to tune them in the php.ini file yourself.

LibPNG

LibPNG for rebuilding gd from source if you so wish. Source rpm is from PkgMaster.com.

gd

gd for rebuilding MRTG from source if you wish. Source rpm is from PkgMaster.com.

Copying

I take no credit for writing these fantastic bits of software, in fact most of the packaging was already done as well, I just upgraded and repackaged. They are provided here for the convenience of other RaQ4 users. For more information on the respective packages please see their home pages. Please see the packages for their respective licensing details.

/dev/plastic

So, I've been playing with gradient meshes in Illustrator. I made some plastic looking buttons and was so proud of myself for not cheating and using online tutorials that I just had to share!

Ahhh, plastic buttons in all their plasticy joy. Admitedly they are not exactly the same as the Apple/Aqua buttons but they are pretty close for a first attempt I think.

Download the svgz file here if you too are interested in having plasticy button goodness.
